A top price for Jaya Ganguly - as previously expected
In July 2007 Sothebys in New York held the auction An Auction to Benefit the Kolkata Museum of Modern Art, which included the work Two To Tango by Jaya Ganguly. The price achieved of USD 18,000.00 (€ 13,128.15) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Two To Tango is the most expensive artwork by Jaya Ganguly that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im Juli 2007 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion An Auction to Benefit the Kolkata Museum of Modern Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Two To Tango von Jaya Ganguly zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 18.000,00 (€ 13.128,15) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Two To Tango das teuerste Kunstwerk von Jaya Ganguly, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
