A top price for Jaya Ganguly - as previously expected
The work His And Her Majesty by Jaya Ganguly was sold in the An Auction to Benefit the Kolkata Museum of Modern Art auction at Sothebys in New York in July 2007. The price achieved of USD 18,000.00 (€ 13,128.15) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, His And Her Majesty is the most expensive artwork by Jaya Ganguly that we have observed at auctions so far.
