Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Hungarian figures In Conversation by János Mattis Teutsch was sold in the 20th Century Art – A Different Perspective auction at Sothebys in London in November 2018. The price achieved of GBP 13,750.00 (€ 15,509.58) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by János Mattis Teutsch - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Seeleblume, which sold at auction in June 2018 for GBP 43,750.00 (€ 49,444.96).

Die Arbeit Hungarian figures In Conversation von János Mattis Teutsch wurde im November 2018 in der Auktion 20th Century Art – A Different Perspective bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 13.750,00 (€ 15.509,58) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von János Mattis Teutsch mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Seeleblume beobachtet, die im Juni 2018 für GBP 43.750,00 (€ 49.444,96) versteigert wurde.
