The »bidding war« ended at USD 11,475.00 (€ 10,890.20), 43% above the upper estimate. Other works by Jannis Varelas have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of USD 20,160.00 (€ 20,607.18) in September last year for the work without title.

Die Arbeit Red Boots, 2013 von Jannis Varelas wurde im April letzten Jahres in der Auktion Made in CaliforniaContemporary Art bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 11.475,00 (€ 10.890,20) und damit 43% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Andere Arbeiten von Jannis Varelas haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von USD 20.160,00 (€ 20.607,18) im September letzten Jahres für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet.
