Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2011 Sothebys in London held the auction European Paintings, which included the work Greek still Life by Jannis Psychopedis. The price achieved of GBP 9,375.00 (€ 10,944.35) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jannis Psychopedis - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Greek Seated Nude, which sold at auction in May 2009 for GBP 37,250.00 (€ 42,613.62).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2011 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion European Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Greek still Life von Jannis Psychopedis zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 9.375,00 (€ 10.944,35) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Jannis Psychopedis mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Greek Seated Nude beobachtet, die im Mai 2009 für GBP 37.250,00 (€ 42.613,62) versteigert wurde.
