Despite a disappointment, a good price for Janet Lippincott
When the work Swallow Song by Janet Lippincott was auctioned at Christies in New York in March 2011, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 312.50 (€ 220.33). Despite this disappointing result, Swallow Song is the most expensive artwork by Janet Lippincott that we have observed at auction so far.

Als die Arbeit Swallow Song von Janet Lippincott im März 2011 bei Christies in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus.
