Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2005 Christies in London held the auction The Scottish Sale at The Assembly Rooms, Edinburgh, which included the work Near Loch Lomond, Dumbarton by Jane Nasmyth. The price achieved of GBP 2,640.00 (€ 3,893.20) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jane Nasmyth - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A View Of Richmond Bridge; And A Highland Landscape, With A Castle By A Lake Shore, which sold at auction in May 2012 for GBP 8,750.00 (€ 10,902.12).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.640,00 (€ 3.893,20) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden.
