Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2006 a collector was able to acquire the work Churchill College, Hall and Library by Jane Carpanini for GBP 576.00 (€ 854.86). This price was achieved in the auction 20th Century British Art & Dreaming Spires; Watercolours of Oxford and Cambridge Colleges at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00 set by the auction house. Other works by Jane Carpanini have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in December 2006 by the work St. Peter's College, Emily Morris Building at GBP 960.00 (€ 1,424.76).
