Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Three Children Walking in a Field by Jan Zoetelief Tromp was sold in the 19th Century European Paintings auction at Christies in New York in April 2012. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 52,500.00 (€ 39,685.54) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jan Zoetelief Tromp - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Sunday walk, which sold at auction in April 2001 for NLG 345,000.00 (€ 158,348.55).

Die Arbeit Three Children Walking in a Field von Jan Zoetelief Tromp wurde im April 2012 in der Auktion 19th Century European Paintings bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 52.500,00 (€ 39.685,54) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
