Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2008 Sothebys in Amsterdam held the auction 19th Century European Paintings, which included the work Children Strolling In The Fields by Jan Zoetelief Tromp. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 60,000.00 – 80,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 63,150.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jan Zoetelief Tromp - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Sunday walk, which sold at auction in April 2001 for NLG 345,000.00 (€ 158,348.55).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2008 führte Sothebys in Amsterdam die Auktion 19th Century European Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Children Strolling In The Fields von Jan Zoetelief Tromp zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 63.150,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Jan Zoetelief Tromp mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Sunday walk beobachtet, die im April 2001 für NLG 345.000,00 (€ 158.348,55) versteigert wurde.
