Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October 2021 Christies held the auction Made In Holland, which included the work Stilleven. Compositie met stoel by Jan van Tongeren. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 6,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 6,875.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jan van Tongeren - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Stilleven Met Groene Kool, which sold at auction in March 2007 for EUR 19,200.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober 2021 führte Christies die Auktion Made In Holland durch, in der auch die Arbeit Stilleven. Compositie met stoel von Jan van Tongeren zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 6.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 6.875,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Jan van Tongeren mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Stilleven Met Groene Kool beobachtet, die im März 2007 für EUR 19.200,00 versteigert wurde.
