In July 2001 Christies in London held the auction Old Master Pictures, which included the work Putti And A Faun Disporting With A Goat by Jan van Neck. The price achieved of GBP 8,225.00 (€ 13,393.82) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Other works by Jan van Neck have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May 2008 the work Venus And Adonis was auctioned for EUR 18,250.00.
