Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2010 Christies in London held the auction Old Master & 19th Century Paintings, Drawings & Watercolours Day, which included the work Dutch ships in stormy waters by Jan-Theuniss Blankerhoff. The price achieved of GBP 8,750.00 (€ 10,520.89) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jan-Theuniss Blankerhoff - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Coastal Landscape With A Threemaster Lowering Sails As A Storm Approaches, A Ship Wrecked On The Lee Shore Nearby, which sold at auction in July 2013 for GBP 21,250.00 (€ 24,281.83).

Im Juli 2010 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master & 19th Century Paintings, Drawings & Watercolours Day durch, in der auch die Arbeit Dutch ships in stormy waters von Jan-Theuniss Blankerhoff zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 8.750,00 (€ 10.520,89) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben worden.
