This artwork by Jan Sluijters achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in June 2017. In the The former Kamerbeek Collection auction, the work Young woman with cigarette sold for EUR 134,500.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 70,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jan Sluijters - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Maannacht III, which sold at auction in November 2010 for EUR 421,000.00.

Dieses Kunstwerk von Jan Sluijters erzielte im Juni 2017 bei Christies in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The former Kamerbeek Collection wurde die Arbeit Young woman with cigarette für EUR 134.500,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 70.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Jan Sluijters mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Maannacht III beobachtet, die im November 2010 für EUR 421.000,00 versteigert wurde.
