Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Jan Sierhuis was sold in the Twentieth Century Art including Belgian Art and auction at Christies in Amsterdam in December 2001. The price achieved of EUR 998.75 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 900.00 – 1,100.00. Admittedly, works by Jan Sierhuis have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Composition in February 2008 with an auction result of EUR 4,375.00.

Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Jan Sierhuis wurde im Dezember 2001 in der Auktion Twentieth Century Art including Belgian Art and bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 998,75 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 900,00 – 1.100,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jan Sierhuis auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Composition im Februar 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 4.375,00.
