The work Moon light by Jan Sierhuis was sold in the Twentieth Century Art including Belgian Art and auction at Christies in Amsterdam in December 2001. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 3,525.00 60% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Jan Sierhuis; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Composition sold at auction in February 2008 with the realized price of EUR 4,375.00.

Die Arbeit Moon light von Jan Sierhuis wurde im Dezember 2001 in der Auktion Twentieth Century Art including Belgian Art and bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 3.525,00 und damit 60% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Jan Sierhuis; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Composition im Februar 2008 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 4.375,00.
