Auction result misses estimated price range
In July 2008 a collector was able to acquire the work A wooded river landscape with cattle watering, a drover on a donkey, and a dog on a track by Jan Siberechts for GBP 5,625.00 (€ 7,146.63). This price was achieved in the auction Old Master & British Pictures at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan Siberechts achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pastoral Landscape With A Shepherdess On A Donkey Carrying A Basket Of Flowers, And Fording A Stream With A Village In The Distance And With A Church, Almost Certainly Edensor, Near Chatsworth, Derbyshire in February 2018 with an auction result of USD 250,000.00 (€ 204,733.44).

Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Old Master & British Pictures bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00.
