Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Nude by Jan Rauchwerger was sold in the Israeli & International Art auction at Sothebys in New York in December 2017. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 3,250.00 (€ 2,703.38) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Jan Rauchwerger have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in December 2008 the work Reclining Nude was auctioned for USD 6,875.00 (€ 4,939.29).

Die Arbeit Nude von Jan Rauchwerger wurde im Dezember 2017 in der Auktion Israeli & International Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 3.250,00 (€ 2.703,38) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Jan Rauchwerger konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Dezember 2008 die Arbeit Reclining Nude für USD 6.875,00 (€ 4.939,29) versteigert.
