Auction result misses estimated price range
In July 2003 a collector was able to acquire the work Still life with fruit and a glass on a table by Jan Peeters for EUR 286.80. This price was achieved in the auction PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS at Christies in Amsterdam and was even below the estimate range of EUR 400.00 – 600.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan Peeters achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ottoman forces attacking an islet fortress, possibly Grambusa, during the Siege of Candia in December 2008 with an auction result of GBP 63,650.00 (€ 66,851.02).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juli 2003 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Still life with fruit and a glass on a table von Jan Peeters für EUR 286,80 erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS bei Christies in Amsterdam erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 400,00 – 600,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jan Peeters erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ottoman forces attacking an islet fortress, possibly Grambusa, during the Siege of Candia im Dezember 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 63.650,00 (€ 66.851,02).
