Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October 2006 Christies in New York held the auction Old Master Paintings, which included the work Animals in a landscape surrounded by a garland of flowers by Jan Pauwel Gillemans the Elder. Here, the upper estimate of USD 15,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 15,600.00 (€ 12,213.26). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jan Pauwel Gillemans the Elder - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Stilleben mit Früchten und Tazza., which sold at auction in March 2006 for CHF 68,400.00 (€ 43,257.83).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober 2006 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Old Master Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Animals in a landscape surrounded by a garland of flowers von Jan Pauwel Gillemans the Elder zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 15.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 15.600,00 (€ 12.213,26) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Jan Pauwel Gillemans the Elder mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Stilleben mit Früchten und Tazza. beobachtet, die im März 2006 für CHF 68.400,00 (€ 43.257,83) versteigert wurde.
