Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2009 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master & Early British Paintings, which included the work A Still Life With A Roemer, Oranges, Grapes, Plums, Lemons And Other Fruit In A Niche Surrounded By Garlands Of Fruit by Jan Pauwel Gillemans the Elder. The price achieved of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,174.12) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jan Pauwel Gillemans the Elder - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Stilleben mit Früchten und Tazza., which sold at auction in March 2006 for CHF 68,400.00 (€ 43,257.83).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 10.000,00 (€ 11.174,12) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden.
