Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait Of A Gentleman, Half-Length by Jan Maurits Quinkhard was auctioned at Sothebys in London in September 2019. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,125.00 (€ 1,269.43) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Jan Maurits Quinkhard have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portrait Of A Boy, Half-Length, In A Blue Coat And Waistcoat, His Hat Under His Left Arm in July 2001 with an auction result of GBP 5,287.50 (€ 8,610.31).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Portrait Of A Gentleman, Half-Length von Jan Maurits Quinkhard kam im September 2019 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.125,00 (€ 1.269,43) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jan Maurits Quinkhard auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Portrait Of A Boy, Half-Length, In A Blue Coat And Waistcoat, His Hat Under His Left Arm im Juli 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.287,50 (€ 8.610,31).
