The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 4,410.00 (€ 5,180.61) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Jan Linsen have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in October 2019 the work An Italianate river landscape with a shepherd giving a maid a bouquet of flowers was auctioned for USD 8,125.00 (€ 7,283.73).
