Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2009 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Nineteen to Now, art from the 19th, 20th & 21st centuries, including Topographical Observations, African and Indonesian Pictures, which included the work A view of the St. Lievensmonstertoren, Zierikzee in summer by Jan Heyse. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 3,500.00 – 4,500.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 3,750.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Jan Heyse have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Bulb fields near Westkapelle in June 2008 with an auction result of EUR 17,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2009 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Nineteen to Now, art from the 19th, 20th & 21st centuries, including Topographical Observations, African and Indonesian Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit A view of the St. Lievensmonstertoren, Zierikzee in summer von Jan Heyse zur Versteigerung kam.
