This artwork by Jan Frederik Schutz achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in September 2005. In the PICTURES WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS auction, the work On a choppy sea sold for EUR 4,200.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jan Frederik Schutz - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A coastal trader and a fishing barge in calm waters at dawn, which sold at auction in June 2003 for GBP 8,225.00 (€ 11,819.77).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen

Für andere Arbeiten von Jan Frederik Schutz mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A coastal trader and a fishing barge in calm waters at dawn beobachtet, die im Juni 2003 für GBP 8.225,00 (€ 11.819,77) versteigert wurde.
