Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Jan des Bouvrie was sold in the The Jan & Monique des Bouvrie Collection auction at Christies in Amsterdam in September 2011. The price achieved of EUR 2,500.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jan des Bouvrie - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Timeless, which sold at auction in September 2011 for EUR 8,750.00.

Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Jan des Bouvrie wurde im September 2011 in der Auktion The Jan & Monique des Bouvrie Collection bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 2.500,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Jan des Bouvrie mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Timeless beobachtet, die im September 2011 für EUR 8.750,00 versteigert wurde.
