Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Kubusbank by Jan des Bouvrie was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in September 2011. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 3,500.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jan des Bouvrie - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Timeless, which sold at auction in September 2011 for EUR 8,750.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Kubusbank von Jan des Bouvrie kam im September 2011 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 3.500,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Jan des Bouvrie mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Timeless beobachtet, die im September 2011 für EUR 8.750,00 versteigert wurde.
