In the Modern Medici: Masterpieces from a New York Collection auction, the work A Wooded River Landscape With Hunters sold for USD 478,800.00 (€ 440,965.19) - well above the upper estimate of USD 180,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jan Brueghel I have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Summer landscape with tilt-carts in January this year with an auction result of USD 1,980,000.00 (€ 1,823,540.25).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jan Brueghel I erzielte im Januar diesen Jahres bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern Medici: Masterpieces from a New York Collection wurde die Arbeit A Wooded River Landscape With Hunters für USD 478.800,00 (€ 440.965,19) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 180.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jan Brueghel I auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Summer landscape with tilt-carts im Januar diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.980.000,00 (€ 1.823.540,25).
