Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April 2021 Christies in New York held the auction Old Masters, which included the work A Landscape With Herdsmen Driving Cattle To A Village by Jan Brueghel I. Here, the upper estimate of USD 500,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 550,000.00 (€ 457,190.36). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jan Brueghel I - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Summer landscape with tilt-carts, which sold at auction in January this year for USD 1,980,000.00 (€ 1,823,540.25).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im April 2021 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Old Masters durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Landscape With Herdsmen Driving Cattle To A Village von Jan Brueghel I zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 500.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 550.000,00 (€ 457.190,36) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Jan Brueghel I mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Summer landscape with tilt-carts beobachtet, die im Januar diesen Jahres für USD 1.980.000,00 (€ 1.823.540,25) versteigert wurde.
