Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2007 Christies in London held the auction Important Old Master and British Pictures (Evening Sale), which included the work A wooded landscape with travellers on a path by Jan Brueghel I. The price achieved of GBP 468,000.00 (€ 695,088.03) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 400,000.00 – 600,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jan Brueghel I - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Summer landscape with tilt-carts, which sold at auction in January this year for USD 1,980,000.00 (€ 1,823,540.25).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2007 führte Christies in London die Auktion Important Old Master and British Pictures (Evening Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit A wooded landscape with travellers on a path von Jan Brueghel I zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 468.000,00 (€ 695.088,03) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 400.000,00 – 600.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Jan Brueghel I mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Summer landscape with tilt-carts beobachtet, die im Januar diesen Jahres für USD 1.980.000,00 (€ 1.823.540,25) versteigert wurde.
