This artwork by Jan Breughel II achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in May 2021. In the Master Paintings auction, the work Frans Francken The Younger sold for USD 63,000.00 (€ 51,664.75) - well above the upper estimate of USD 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan Breughel II achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Five Senses: Sight, Touch, Hearing, Taste and Smell in November last year with an auction result of USD 8,634,000.00 (€ 8,363,847.72).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Jan Breughel II erzielte im Mai 2021 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Master Paintings wurde die Arbeit Frans Francken The Younger für USD 63.000,00 (€ 51.664,75) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 30.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jan Breughel II erzielen.
