This artwork by Jan Adam Kruseman achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in May 2011. In the Old Masters and 19th Century Art auction, the work Portrait of a Neapolitan girl, with the Vesuvius in the distance sold for EUR 17,500.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jan Adam Kruseman - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Rebecca met de geschenken van Eliëzer: an oriental beauty, which sold at auction in October 2007 for EUR 38,650.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jan Adam Kruseman erzielte im Mai 2011 bei Christies in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Masters and 19th Century Art wurde die Arbeit Portrait of a Neapolitan girl, with the Vesuvius in the distance für EUR 17.500,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 6.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Jan Adam Kruseman mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Rebecca met de geschenken van Eliëzer: an oriental beauty beobachtet, die im Oktober 2007 für EUR 38.650,00 versteigert wurde.
