Despite a disappointment, a good price for Jamil Hamoudi
When this work without title by Jamil Hamoudi was auctioned at Christies in Dubai in October 2008, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 22,500.00 (€ 17,741.68). Despite this disappointing result, this work without title is the most expensive artwork by Jamil Hamoudi that we have observed at auction so far.
Trotz Enttäuschung ein guter Preis für Jamil Hamoudi
Als diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Jamil Hamoudi im Oktober 2008 bei Christies in Dubai versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 22.500,00 (€ 17.741,68) den Besitzer. Trotz dieses enttäuschenden Ergebnisses ist dieses Werk ohne Titel das teuerste Kunstwerk von Jamil Hamoudi, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
