Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March 2021 Sothebys in New York held the auction Two Centuries: American Art, which included the work Partridge House by Jamie Wyeth. The »bidding war« ended at USD 69,300.00 (€ 59,013.88), 16% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jamie Wyeth achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pumpkinhead–Self-Portrait in May 2016 with an auction result of USD 1,690,000.00 (€ 1,517,736.87).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März 2021 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Two Centuries: American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Partridge House von Jamie Wyeth zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 69.300,00 (€ 59.013,88) und damit 16% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jamie Wyeth erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Pumpkinhead–Self-Portrait im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.690.000,00 (€ 1.517.736,87).
