Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Jamie Wyeth could be acquired at Christies in New York in October 2020 for an unexpectedly low price. In the American Art auction, the work Angry Gander changed hands for USD 25,000.00 (€ 21,464.75) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jamie Wyeth achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pumpkinhead–Self-Portrait in May 2016 with an auction result of USD 1,690,000.00 (€ 1,517,736.87).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jamie Wyeth konnte im Oktober 2020 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion American Art wechselte die Arbeit Angry Gander für USD 25.000,00 (€ 21.464,75) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jamie Wyeth erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Pumpkinhead–Self-Portrait im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.690.000,00 (€ 1.517.736,87).
