Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2013 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work The successful fishing trip by James William Giles. The price achieved of GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,428.34) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by James William Giles achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work British Mr. J. A. Sandiland'S King Charles Spaniels in November 2007 with an auction result of USD 205,000.00 (€ 139,569.72).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2013 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit The successful fishing trip von James William Giles zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.250,00 (€ 1.428,34) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von James William Giles erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit British Mr. J. A. Sandiland'S King Charles Spaniels im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 205.000,00 (€ 139.569,72).
