Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of GBP 3,120.00 (€ 4,470.40) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by James Whitelaw Hamilton - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Harbour Side, which sold at auction in August 2008 for GBP 10,000.00 (€ 12,400.30).
