Auction result well in line with expectations
In October last year Bonhams in Edinburgh held the auction Scottish Art, which included the work A Country Fair by James Watterson Herald. The price achieved of GBP 1,020.00 (€ 1,188.29) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by James Watterson Herald achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Morning, Fishwives, East Coast in October 2000 with an auction result of GBP 12,925.00 (€ 22,092.52).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in Edinburgh die Auktion Scottish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Country Fair von James Watterson Herald zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.020,00 (€ 1.188,29) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von James Watterson Herald erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Morning, Fishwives, East Coast im Oktober 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 12.925,00 (€ 22.092,52).
