Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Profile Portrait by James Taylor was auctioned at Christies in London in December 2001. The price achieved of GBP 105.75 (€ 172.78) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 25.00 – 200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by James Taylor achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work French Railway Siding in January 2013 with an auction result of GBP 2,000.00 (€ 2,334.51).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Profile Portrait von James Taylor kam im Dezember 2001 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 105,75 (€ 172,78) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 25,00 – 200,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von James Taylor erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit French Railway Siding im Januar 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.000,00 (€ 2.334,51).
