Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work An eastern market by James Stephanoff was auctioned at Bonhams in London in September this year. It achieved a price of GBP 960.00 (€ 960.00), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 20%. Admittedly, works by James Stephanoff have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Viewing at Dulwich Picture Gallery in September 2012 with an auction result of GBP 4,000.00 (€ 5,019.29).

Die Arbeit An eastern market von James Stephanoff kam im September diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 960,00 (€ 960,00) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 20%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von James Stephanoff auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Viewing at Dulwich Picture Gallery im September 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.000,00 (€ 5.019,29).
