The work Peppers, plums, a punnet of cherries and a pot plant on a draped table by James Noble was sold in the AT HOME-BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES AND WORKS ON PAPER auction at Christies in London in June 2003. It achieved a price of GBP 940.00 (€ 1,350.83), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 18%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by James Noble - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Spring flowers in a glass vase, which sold at auction in May 2003 for GBP 2,350.00 (€ 3,274.14).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Peppers, plums, a punnet of cherries and a pot plant on a draped table von James Noble wurde im Juni 2003 in der Auktion AT HOME-BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES AND WORKS ON PAPER bei Christies in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 940,00 (€ 1.350,83) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 18%. Für andere Arbeiten von James Noble mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Spring flowers in a glass vase beobachtet, die im Mai 2003 für GBP 2.350,00 (€ 3.274,14) versteigert wurde.
