Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by James Morrison achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in November 2020. In the Scottish Art auction, the work The Road To Achnahaird sold for GBP 3,024.00 (€ 3,375.80) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by James Morrison have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Montrose in Winter in October 2006 with an auction result of GBP 14,400.00 (€ 21,514.88).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von James Morrison erzielte im November 2020 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Scottish Art wurde die Arbeit The Road To Achnahaird für GBP 3.024,00 (€ 3.375,80) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von James Morrison auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Montrose in Winter im Oktober 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 14.400,00 (€ 21.514,88).
