The work Horse Island by James Morrison was auctioned at Bonhams in Edinburgh in October 2021. It achieved a price of GBP 6,120.00 (€ 7,250.55), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 53%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by James Morrison - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Montrose in Winter, which sold at auction in October 2006 for GBP 14,400.00 (€ 21,514.88).

Die Arbeit Horse Island von James Morrison kam im Oktober 2021 bei Bonhams in Edinburgh zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 6.120,00 (€ 7.250,55) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 53%. Für andere Arbeiten von James Morrison mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Montrose in Winter beobachtet, die im Oktober 2006 für GBP 14.400,00 (€ 21.514,88) versteigert wurde.
