This artwork by James Morrison achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in July 2012. In the A Celebration: The Studio of Alberto Morrocco & Binrock House, Dundee auction, the work Mist at Stracathro sold for GBP 3,000.00 (€ 3,821.19) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by James Morrison have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Montrose in Winter in October 2006 with an auction result of GBP 14,400.00 (€ 21,514.88).
