Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2014 Sothebys in London held the auction British & Irish Art, which included the work Inchbroach Angus by James Morrison. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 8,125.00 (€ 9,985.89). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by James Morrison - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Montrose in Winter, which sold at auction in October 2006 for GBP 14,400.00 (€ 21,514.88).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2014 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion British & Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Inchbroach Angus von James Morrison zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 8.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 8.125,00 (€ 9.985,89) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von James Morrison mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Montrose in Winter beobachtet, die im Oktober 2006 für GBP 14.400,00 (€ 21.514,88) versteigert wurde.
