Auction result well in line with expectations
In April this year Bonhams held the auction Home & Interiors, which included the work Cattle in woodland by James MacDougal Hart. The price achieved of GBP 1,147.50 (€ 1,307.78) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by James MacDougal Hart achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Loon Lake, Adirondacks in May 2003 with an auction result of USD 119,500.00 (€ 101,563.83).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion Home & Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit Cattle in woodland von James MacDougal Hart zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.147,50 (€ 1.307,78) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von James MacDougal Hart erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Loon Lake, Adirondacks im Mai 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 119.500,00 (€ 101.563,83).
