This artwork by James Matthews achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in February 2012. In the Christie's Interiors auction, the work At Rowhock, Sussex sold for USD 1,625.00 (€ 1,216.41) - well above the upper estimate of USD 800.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by James Matthews; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot A garden in Egdean, Sussex sold at auction in September 2007 with the realized price of GBP 1,062.50 (€ 1,523.55).

Dieses Kunstwerk von James Matthews erzielte im Februar 2012 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis.
