Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by James Loxham Browne could be acquired at Christies in London in May 2007 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Scone Palace and Blairquhan The Selected Contents of Two Great Scottish Houses auction, the work View of Harrow from Hampstead changed hands for GBP 120.00 (€ 176.59) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 400.00 – 600.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by James Loxham Browne achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nelson sighting the French and Spanish fleets in the Bay of Trafalgar in May 2007 with an auction result of GBP 1,920.00 (€ 2,825.41).
