Auction result misses estimated price range
In June 2010 a collector was able to acquire the work Nelson sighting the French and Spanish Fleets in the Bay of Trafalgar 31st October 1805 by James Loxham Browne for USD 625.00 (€ 508.50). This price was achieved in the auction Christie's Interiors at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by James Loxham Browne have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Nelson sighting the French and Spanish fleets in the Bay of Trafalgar in May 2007 with an auction result of GBP 1,920.00 (€ 2,825.41).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
