Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2008 Christies in London held the auction The Sporting Sale, which included the work Unknown by James Howe. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 700.00 – 1,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 750.00 (€ 948.30) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by James Howe - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Grey Hunter With Two Dogs In A Landscape, which sold at auction in November 2004 for GBP 1,792.50 (€ 2,578.50).
